Stenciled Leaves

For today’s vintage card, I wanted to show you a project I made with a small, brass stencil. First, I used the stencil to create inked leaves on the background cardstock. By using sponge daubers, ink was simply sponged into the negative space of each stencil.

Next, I took small metal pieces and stenciled each leaf shape into the squares. By using the small edge of a stylus, I simply ran it around the inside edges of each shape, creating an embossed effect. Each square was hole-punched on either end, and then hemp string was threaded through each piece and tied at the top of the card. Easy peasy!
