Happy Birthday Card
Today’s card was inspired by the Retrosketches #138 challenge, found here. For the “Happy Birthday” card, I began with a 6″ x 6″ White Daisy cardstock base, and then layered the card with overlays in Pacifica (blue) and Canary (yellow) cardstock.
The beautiful and festive patterned papers were cut from the Confetti Wishes Paper Packet. Each piece was sponged around the edges with Thistle ink. And, as you may have noticed, there was NO STAMPING on this card! This card was created solely with papers and sequin accents.
The “Happy Birthday” sentiment may look like a sticker, but it was actually just an image cut from one of the Confetti Wishes patterned papers. I glued the image to Pacifica cardstock, cut it out around the curves, and then mounted on a piece of White Daisy cardstock and foam tape. To finish off the card, I added Gold Sequins, following the pattern of the Retrosketches sketch!
