These Halloween pencil toppers were inspired by the artwork in the Close To My Heart 2014/15 Idea Book. I used the adorable “Frightfully Fun” stamp set to create the images for all 6 pencils (scroll down for the mummy).
The scalloped circles were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, using White Daisy cardstock and specialty papers from the Scaredy Cat Paper Packet. The images were stamped in Black ink and then lightly colored in with colored pencils.
To attach the pencil toppers to the pencils, I used scrap cardstock in 0.5″ x 1″ strips. Using Glue Dots, which give a super strong hold, I wrapped the cardstock strip around the pencil and then adhered it to the pencil topper with another Glue Dot. Wouldn’t these be fun to give out at Halloween? Of course, they would have to accompany some candy, as I wouldn’t want my house egged!
