If you happened to visit my blog this past Saturday, you would have seen my project for our Team Blog Hop event. The challenge was to make something with one of the Close To My Heart Embossing Folders. My chosen folder was the Quatrefoil folder, and my project was the “Glitter Girl” card. If you missed that, you can see it here.
I actually created two cards with the Quatrefoil folder and had a hard time choosing which to showcase. Today I am showing the other card that I made, so you can be the judge of which card you like best!
This card was made with a White Daisy card base, Pear cardstock, and the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder for the top piece of white cardstock. The patterned papers are from the Brushed Paper Packet and the stamped flower and leaf images are from “A Budding Friendship” stamp set. The Canary colored flower was popped off the page with foam tape.
At the top of the card, I added a piece of Pink Shimmer Trim, and the sentiment “Dream.” This sentiment was one of four located on the “zip strip” at the top of the patterned papers. Since our papers are a true 12″ x 12″ size once the 0.5″ zip strip is cut off, the strip is like a bonus patterned piece to use on your layouts! To finish off the card, I added some clear sparkles and bitty sparkles.
I will be entering this card in the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #150, found HERE. This week’s sketch looks like this…
I’ll see you in the craft room,
