Friendship Card and a Guest Designer Spot!

A budding friendship 3a.JPG

Yesterday I was “In the Spotlight” over at the Fantabulous Cricut Blog. If you missed their Spotlight Sunday, you can find it HERE. Part of being in the spotlight included a Guest Designer spot and the submission of two projects; one for a sketch challenge, and the other to be showcased next Sunday with my wrap up.

As today’s Fantabulous Cricut Guest Designer, I made the card above for the FCCB Challenge #223, found HERE. This is the sketch challenge image:

FCCB Sketch #223

For my card, I used the beautiful patterned papers from the Brushed Paper Packet, as well as Canary, Pixie, Pear, and White Daisy cardstock. The Pear cardstock front was embossed with my Quatrefoil Embossing folder.

I added 3 strips of patterned paper across the top and then 2 Cricut Art Philosophy cut circles to frame the flower. Most of the papers were inked around the edges with their corresponding ink colors.

The flower and leaves were also cut with Art Philosophy, inked around the edges, and then assembled together. I added a pink glitter gem to the center and then placed some Liquid Glass around the gem for some shine and a very strong hold. The sentiment “A Budding Friendship” was from a stamp set with the same name, and was stamped in Pixie ink.

Don’t forget to visit the Fantabulous Cricut Blog for some more design inspiration from their talented Design Team and challenge participants. Next Monday, I’ll be sharing my other submitted project, made with the lovely Seaside papers that I am featuring for the month of August.

I’ll see you in the craft room,

  1. This is gorgeous Sue, I love that pretty flower, and it works so nicely with the sketch. So glad you joined us as a guest designer at FCCB this week!
