"1 of a Kind Dad" Card

It’s that time of year… time to think about Father’s Day cards. Do you have a tough time making masculine cards? I know a lot of people that do, including myself.

I used the inspiration for this card by combining a few challenges: Mojo Monday for the card sketch, Color Dare for the colors, and Fantabulous Cricut for the masculine ideas. With inspiration like that, it’s hard to go wrong!

This card is 5.5″ x 4.25″ and utilized the following colors of cardstock and inks: Outdoor Denim, New England Ivy, Olive, Honey, and White Daisy.

The strip of New England Ivy cardstock was embossed with a tiny dot embossing folder. I rubbed sandpaper over the top of the raised dots to distress it and make the white core show through. The starbursts, “1 of a Kind” sentiment, and parenthesis were cut with the Cricut Artbooking cartridge. The “Dad” sentiment was stamped in Olive ink from the “A Typeface” alphabet stamp set.

To finish off the card, I added 3 silver Durables Triangle Studs.

I will be linking this card to:

1. Mojo Monday, Challenge #349, found HERE. This week’s sketch looks like this:

2. Fantabulous Cricut Challenge, Challenge #214, found HERE. This week’s theme is: Celebrate Dad.
